John French - Executive Chariman
John French

Responsible for the overall strategic direction and development of the group and investor relations.

John has had extensive experience in many aspects of corporate management and fundraising with a demonstrable forty year track record in advising and leading PLC’s and growth businesses within a variety of sectors. With five current directorships held at companies operating in various industries coupled with a position on the PLUS Advisory Panel, he has provided regular commentary and opinion at both Trade and City forums, as well as to the National and International media.

Robert Mitchell - Non Executive Director
Robert Mitchell

Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee.

Robert began his career at Throgmorton Investment Management in 1987. In 1995, Robert joined F&C Asset Management plc (formerly ISIS Asset Management plc) to help launch the AiM Trust and then assist in its management. He was then responsible for launching and managing The AiM VCT and AiM VCT2 as well as managing The Discovery Trust plc.

In 2005 Robert left F&C along with two colleagues to form the new specialist smaller companies investment boutique Bluehone Investors LLP. Bluehone’s initial clients are Active Capital Trust, The AiM VCT, AiM VCT2 and the F&C Private Equity Trust ‘C’ share portfolio (formerly The Discovery Trust).

Barry Whyte ACII, FCILA - Non-Executive Director
Barry Whyte

Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit Committee and the co-founder of Resources in Insurance Group plc (formerly The Claims People Group plc).

A leading UK Chartered Loss Adjuster, he founded the Claims People Group plc following a successful career as Managing Director of Miller Knight Ltd (subsequently Miller-Fisher), formerly one of the UK’s leading claims management companies.

Gordon Vater BA(Hons) ACII - Chief Executive Officer
Gordon Vater

Gordon is responsible for Group operations and Business Development activity.

A Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Gordon has 17 years claims experience gained predominantly in the adjusting and claims management sector but also on consultancy secondments to major UK composite insurers including the delivery of strategic change initiatives on a national basis.
He has held senior operational management positions in both claims management and consultancy sectors.
